Flags

This series is an off shoot of the Swiss Crosses Series whereby flags for an ideal nation were created.

The title for this series is influenced by my reading of Tony Godfrey's "Conceptual Art" (1996). Two of my mentors George Manupelli and Eugenio Tellez both worked with the likes of Marcel Duchamp, Andy Warhol and Robert Rauschenberg. The play of white on white became very important to me as white is the symbolic colour towards simple living and spiritual energy, very important elements to my daily life. It is a colour I try to live in myself. White reflects and allows me to often meditate and stay aligned in chaos.
