Galileo's Assistant is a series of ten large scale works on 58 inch diameter Baltic Birch wooden circular surfaces which float 1 inch from the wall on a stretcher frame giving a lunar impression. The series uses astrological natal charts of pop icons as a basis to explore the tension between geometric and expressionist forms of abstraction. Working intuitively, using the knowledge of spirituality and energy healing gained while ill with spinal disease in the past, each painting is determined by the artist's connection with the icon, in relation to her own life story and aesthetics which overlay charts of the likes of: Roger Moore, Sophia Loren, Federico Fellini, the Dalai Lama, Marilyn Monroe, Sidney Poitier and even Angelina Jolie.

New works in this series are on plexi glass, are phosphorescent in the dark, and are interactive in that they play originally scored music on a touch sensitive basis.
